My Eleventh Tattoo...

My eleventh tattoo I got while I was in Louisiana for training. This is an add on to one of my previous tattoos, the fourth one. This is an accomplishment tattoo for me. I worked very hard to finally get this one. This is part of the tattoo that I am building upon when I advance (if you don't remember the story read My Fourth Tattoo )

Any ways after a two year delay in North Carolina and moving on to my next unit, I was able to get all the qualifications and tests passed that I needed to advance to Boatswains Mate Second Class. It means alot because I hated being a Third. I never really felt like a "Third".

I drew this design. It was changed up a little bit but that was totally cool with me. It symbolizes me fighting my way to get to advance and always keeping my eye on where I needed to go. Plus it has a nautical theme that will tie in easier with my anchor.

This tattoo got around, so to speak. I worked on my pre-advancement in Miami, Florida but I actually advanced at Camp Lejeune North Carolina while being temporarily stationed in Lockport, Louisiana. Confusing right? Haha. I left for Louisiana for factory training for my boat but less then a week into it I had to go to a school in North Carolina. It just so happened that March 1st (the advancement day) fell while I was at school.

I thought where else to get it but the city that has stolen my heart: New Orleans, Louisiana. Another funny part of this story is that the girl who tattooed me is married to a Boatswain Mate. Haha. It was meant to be.
