My Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Tattoos...

This one took a while. It was done over a 6 months span. Money was the main factor. All together it took around 13 hours to do. Alot of this was Andy Chamber's design. I only brought him one little design (dark angel) and he free handed or drew everything else.

I came to him with the dark angel design (NOT a fairy! If you tell me it's a fairy you will receive a tongue lashing you will regret). He changed it up a tad and made it so much better. He made her eyes to match mine.

Next was the background design. Andy has a picture in his area that he painted. I always loved it. I still do. If I see it again I am going to buy it from him. Hopefully it won't cost me an arm and a leg. But seeing as though its the inspiration behind this whole half sleeve (soon to be a whole sleeve) he will cut me a deal.

I thought it would be cool to have a full moon behind her. Originally I thought about doing some dark graveyard theme. But after looking at the painting, it went a whole new direction.

The final piece is the one that took the longest sitting. Mostly because it was all free-handed. (meaning there was no stencils, no references to go from, just talent). He asked me what I would like and I looked at him and smiled. I told him "How about a skull?". His eyes lit up and he grinned from ear to ear! Skulls are his favorite. I have seen other paintings and drawings of skulls that he has done so I knew it would be awesome.

The funnest part was seeing him with his permanent markers. Haha he was like a kid with a new pack of crayons. He would put a mark down, smudge it with his finger, look at it, and then either mark another or grab a different color and mark with that one.

Mom likes the colors but not the skull. Haha. I think it's pretty badass. My "girl" grabs the peoples attention then I turn my arm showing the inside and BAM! haha. I love it and can't wait until I can make some time to have Andy add more to this.

The meaning behind all of this is complicated to put into writing. It shows multiple sides of me. The Dark Angel represents who I feel I am. I may look sweet (and I kinda am) but I also have a dark side. I am colorful and often have my head in the stars. I am also serious and don't want to be messed with. I put up a scary front sometimes. Like I said, it has alot of meanings.

Done by Andy Chambers at (formally known as) Ace In The Hole in Moyock, North Carolina.
